JAPAN - I have a particular connection and affinity for the country of Japan. My son has lived there for more than twenty years. I am blessed to have an extended family of daughter-in-law, her parents, and two grandchildren. My family experience has helped me immeasurably in my business connections. I am also comfortable in eating and enjoying all manner of Japanese food and cooking - including Uni (Sea Urchin)!

If your visit is confined to Tokyo, do your best to visit some smaller cities, and if possible stay overnight in a ryokan. These are Japanese inns which are noted for their exceptional food and customer service.

The Japanese - personally and professionally - are industrious, hard working, and thorough. They are excellent in paying attention to detail. They give a first impression of shyness and reserve. And they are known for not wanting to give you a "no" for an answer. When they get to know you and do business with you, they are warm and outgoing. My work with business professionals usually centers on helping them become more confident , outgoing and eager to share their business knowledge.
