CHILE - The flight from Sao Paulo Brazil to Santiago, Chile takes you over the Andes Mountains. They stretch north to south throughout South America. When you cross the last mountains, you are greeted by the magnificent city of Santiago. Chile is a long, narrow country along the western seaboard. - extending nearly 2,700 miles, width and average width of only about 110 miles. It is a very modern country which leads Latin American nations in rankings of human development, competitiveness, income per capita, globalization, state of peace, economic freedom, and low perception of corruption.
I loved Santiago, but my bucket list now includes a trip to the south - an area containing some of the most magnificent scenery in the world. And if you love seafood as I do, go to Chile. Regardless of the actual origin of the name Chilean Sea Bass, all the seafood was magnificent - attributed to the depth of the water in that part of the Pacific.
My trip to Chile brought some connections to several of my friends from other countries in Latin America, I worked for two multinational companies who literally reach around the world. They are Spanish-speaking (plus other languages) but their business is conducted largely in English. My assignment is never to strive for perfect English, but rather to help them sound confident and secure in English.
