ARGENTINA - Since I was a small boy, Argentina has been high on my "bucket list." I grew up in Texas, and even Texans are fascinated by the Pampas, the cattle, and the gauchos. In later years I saw Evita on broadway and became interested in the history of this country. So my first visit was only to Buenos Aires. I saw the government buildings, the colorful houses and the wide boulevards. I watched Tango dancers and ate steak at every opportunity.
My next trip will be as a tourist! The southern part of Argentina reaches to the end of the continent and contains the highest peaks in the Andes. Iguaza Falls are considered among the world's most magnificent.
The culture of Argentina is as varied as the country's geography and is composed of a mix of ethnic groups. European immigration is obvious in the variety of people and the architecture. They are also rooted culturally with us in the US. And many of the women are beautiful and the men handsome.
The business connections are also deep and varied. Multinational companies are everywhere, and many have their Latin American headquarters in Buenos Aires. My work there has been concentrated on executives who must communicate upward in their organizations.
